My Dog Noodle By Ethan V.

                      My Dog Noodle 7-8-20

By Ethan V.
On August 4th, 2018, we adopted our dog Noodle who was named Nikon at the time. We have not found out his exact breed makeup but when we adopted him they guessed he was a Corgi-Australian Shepard mix. Also, when we got him we found out he had been rescued from Thailand,  as he was in the Thailand meat trade.
The Thailand meat trade is the illegal smuggling of 200,000 dogs each year. They are smuggled from Thailand to Laos and then to Vietnam where they are (sadly) eaten. But before Noodle could be eaten, a foundation called The Soi Dog Foundation captured the people that Noodle was being smuggled by and they rescued lots of dogs including Noodle. From this experience of being in a small cage with many other dogs Noodle gets scared if you come up behind him very fast or if you crowd him. He lets you know he doesn't like something you're doing by growling and sometimes snapping at you. But 95.3% of the time Noodle isn't mean. In fact, he is actually a very sweet dog. If he knows you well enough he will walk up to you when you walk into the house and also snuggle with you (sometimes). I also found out a cute thing that Noodle does where you can put your hand under his chin and he will put the full weight of his head on your hand. Lastly, Noodle has been very entertaining during lockdown and its very good that I have him.

He's so handsome too -- fits perfectly into the family. Everyone lucked out on this adoption!
