Gardening with Momo!!

Today I gardened with Momo and learned two new things. The first thing we did was tie some vines to the fence which trains them to grow in a certan direction. Since the vines were getting pretty tall, we looped them around the top of the fence, which is pretty short, and gently tied them with some wire. The other thing I learned was that you should cut off the flowering stems of lettuce that are bolting, which means that the plant is trying to produce seeds and these stems aren't edible because they are too bitter. I also pulled weeds in the Japanese garden, which is kind of difficult because the ground is covered in many small rocks.
And happy birthday to my amazing mom, I love you soooooo much and I don't know how I'd live without you! Your are so strong, kind, smart, and so much more, not to mention an AWESOME mom! Hope you had a great day ππππ

ReplyDeleteGreat gardening skills - we recently tied a green tension line to hold back some bamboo we planted in the backyard. We're also training them to grow upright instead of hunched over. I hope it works!
ReplyDeleteAnd couldn't agree more about your awesome mom. :)
